Neuropsychological Evaluations

Diagnostic Testing Services
A neuropsychological evaluation consists of performance-based testing for cognitive domains including but not limited to attention, learning, memory, language, executive functioning, emotional and social functioning, visuospatial skills, and sensorimotor functioning; among others.
For adults, we compare your scores on testing to other individuals of the same age and education using normative data. Through this testing, we can determine if you’re having cognitive trouble that is consistent with changes associated with normal aging, or if the troubles you’re having are more than expected for normal aging. And if it’s the latter, we can identify what cognitive deficits/illnesses you’re experiencing and how they might be treated. Additionally, a report is generated by the neuropsychologist that will be sent to your referring provider and a copy will also be sent to you. The neuropsychologist and patient will review the results of the neuropsychological report to discuss a plan of action.
